News: Coming to downloadable services near you in 2008.
Blazing Lizard, a newly formed casual games studio that broke off from Volition (makers of Saints Row), has announced their first game. Pirates Vs. Ninjas Dodgeball will settle the age-old grudge in early 2008 when Blazing Lizard brings the game to unspecified console download services.
The title will be the first in a series of Pirates Vs Ninja games and features more than just those two groups. Three other teams of dodgeballers (to be revealed at a later date) will also take part in what Blazing Lizard calls "the ultimate sport of champions."
Pirates Vs Ninja Dodgeball will actually be more than a mere game of dodgeball. According to the company: "Teams aren't restricted to one side of the court, instead they roam freely around 6 gorgeously detailed arenas. In addition, characters are equipped with combat moves and special abilities to deliver a more action-packed experience than could ever be found on the playground."
УWhat more needs to be said when it comes to Pirates vs. Ninjas,Ф said Chris Stockman, Studio Director of Blazing Lizard. УThis is the ultimate in rivalries, and we aim to have them settle it with all out balls to the wall action.Ф
Pirates Vs Ninjas Dodgeball will include Exhibition, Story, and Challenge Modes along with 8-player online and 4-player local play. A 4-player co-op mode will also be included.
