News: GT's creator hints at an early 2008 release.
The Magic Box picked up on a Best Car Magazine interview in which Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi said Gran Turismo Mobile is still on the way and it would release before Gran Turismo 5 hits PS3.
The ever-elusive portable racing game should launch in the spring of 2008 in Japan judging from another recent interview he did. Yamauchi told Famistu that Japanese gamers can expect GT5 by the summer of 2008, so in addition to being far from dead, GT5 might not be too far off.
Because it's been three years since Gran Turismo Mobile has been announced and because GT5 has received a concept and is receiving a prologue version, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a little preview of what the team has been up to on the small screen.
As much as we're hoping for a little hands-on beta, we'll probably only see GT5: Prologue on PS3 this year. But, if you're trying to guess the release of the upcoming Gran Turismo games, here are our best estimatesЕ
Prediction: Japanese gamers will get GT Mobile in Q1 2008.
Prediction: American gamers will get it in the summer of 2008.
Predication: Just we feel lucky enough to get GT Mobile, Japan will receive GT5 during the same summer months.
Prediction: We get it in the fall of 2008 and it's a holiday favorite not too long after that.
Oh, European gamers? UmmmЕ
Prediction: they import.
