News: Ground control to Major Tom, THQ is bringing the Worms to the Wii.

THQ and Team17 Software have announced the next entry in the Worms series, Worms: A Space Oddity, will be coming to the Wii in Spring 2008.

A Space Oddity will make full use of the Wii Remote to create a new and intuitive control scheme for the series. The game will also bring a science fiction-styled graphical look to the series for the first time. THQ promises the new style will be a "significant visual, technical and design advancement over its predecessors."

The game will include a ton of modes including classic single-player missions, "re-invented" missions, several multiplayer modes including a party game mode and four-player online play.

We'll have more on Worms: A Space Oddity soon.
