News: The rumors are true! Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and Sin & Punishment for all!

The rumors are true! Nintendo today confirmed that Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Mario's Super Picross, Ninja JaJaMaru-Kun and Sin & Punishment will be coming to the European Virtual Console over the next several weeks.

Starting today, and running for the next three weeks, the PAL Virtual Console will have their very own Hanabi Festival (hanabi means fireworks in Japanese) of formerly Japanese-only releases.

This week is Mario Week as Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and Mario's Super Picross will be added to the service. Ninja JaJaMaru-Kun will follow next week while Sin & Punishment should be available on September 27th.

But those that want to download Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels should hurry, as it will only be offered for a limited time and will be pulled from the service on September 30th. The three other games released during the Hanabi Festival will be permanent fixtures of the VC.

Hopefully these titles make it to the American VC sometime in the near future (I would kill for Sin & Punishment and The Lost Levels, you hear me Nintendo, I would kill), but Nintendo of America hasn't confirmed anything just as of yet.
