News: Namco Bandai gets an [active] life.
Intent on creating a good image for video games, Wii Sports was born. More recently announced at E3 was the company's next big thing, Wii Fit. Jumping on the bandwagon at TGS, Namco Bandai has announced its own title, Active Life: Athletic World, for the Wii.
Scheduled for a 2008 release, the Wii-exclusive game Ц known as Family Trainer: Athletic World in Japan Ц will use a special mat controller and the Wii Remote. The one or two-player games show good usage of the mat controller; displayed briefly were snowboarding, log jumping, barrel jumping and a River Rapid game, the latter of which is controller by the Wii Remote as players use the controller like an oar.
