News: SNK Playmore brings two more to the PS2 for the end of the year.
SNK Playmore has announced they will be bringing two more 2D fighters to the PlayStation 2 before the year is out. King of Fighters XI is actually only a few weeks away, as its scheduled to be released on October 23. It will be followed by NeoGeo Battle Coliseum in November.
King of Fighters XI adds new control methods to the KoF formula including Quick Shift and Saving Shift. Other options new to the series include "the match-deciding Judgment Indicator" and a Dream Cancel move. It will also include extra characters, bonus stages and new music not found in the arcade edition.
Meanwhile, NeoGeo Battle Coliseum takes the entire NeoGeo world and slams them headfirst into a two versus two fighting game with tagouts and team attacks. The game will feature over 40 characters from from games such as World Heroes, Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Last Blade, Metal Slug and Kizuna Encounter.
"King of Fighters XI and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum will give SNK fans everything they've come to expect plus great new features that put a twist on the classic game play," said Ben Herman, president of SNK Playmore.
