News: More Tetris for the Xbox 360.
The Xbox 360 is getting more Tetris this Wednesday, Octboer 3, as Tetris Splash will be added to the Xbox Live Arcade for a price of 800 Microsoft Points.
Tetris Splash was developed by Tetris Online Inc. and will feature four-player offline multiplayer and six-player multiplayer over Xbox Live. The game will also include the following features:
Modes of play: Three different modes of play including Tetris, T-Spin, and Combo, plus a unique screensaver mode.
Multiplayer: Playable solo, competitively or in teams, with an online multiplayer mode via Xbox Live for up to six players.
New twists: New, enhanced graphics, and beautiful aquatic backscapes add a real splash to the fun of Tetris.
Content and themes: Exciting downloadable content will be made available including themes and background aquatic creatures.
Achievements: Twelve new achievements to master and conquer.
Sadly, it doesn't appear as if crossplay between Tetris Splash and Tetris Evolution, the retail disc version of Tetris that shipped for the Xbox 360 in the spring, will be available. We'll have more on Tetris Splash soon.
