Activision has announced that the soundtrack CD to Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (known as the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Companion Pack) will include a code redeemable for three exclusive songs for Guitar Hero III that can be downloaded from Xbox Live.
The three songs are "Carcinogen Crush" from AFI, "Tina" from Flyleaf and a remix of Marilyn Manson's "Putting Holes In Happiness" featuring Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. "Tina" and "Putting Holes In Happiness" can both be found on the soundtrack CD as well.
To access the songs, Guitar Hero III owners will have to input the code included with the soundtrack CD at
Interscope.com/guitarherocode to receive a unique Xbox Live code. Players will then have to input the Xbox Live code into their Xbox 360 console when logged into Xbox Live, to download the expansion songs.
The Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Companion Pack will be released on October 23 while Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and Wii will be released on October 28.
