News: Early 2008 becomes sometime in 2008.
THQ has announced they've delayed three titles that were scheduled to be released in early 2008: Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon (Xbox 360, PS3), De Blob (Wii, DS) and Frontlines: Fuel of War (PS3 version only). All three titles have been pushed further into 2008 with all three now sporting "To Be Announced" release dates. The Xbox 360 and PC versions of Frontlines: Fuel of War were not part of the delay and will make their scheduled release in January.
THQ has said the titles have been delayed to give the development teams more time.
"Because of THQ's commitment to delivering quality products, we have moved the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Destroy All Humans!, and the PS3 version of Frontlines into fiscal 2009. We believe the additional time will enable us to create the best products for our customers," said Brian Farrell, president and CEO of THQ. "Our new title de Blob has generated strong critical acclaim and excitement among gamers. We have decided to schedule this title for global release next fiscal year in order to enhance the game and maximize the opportunity for this new franchise."
The company also confirmed several other titles they plan to ship in 2008 including
Disney/Pixar's Wall-E, Red Faction 3, Saints Row 2 and an untitled UFC fighting game.
