News: Publisher announces four titles for Microsoft's download service.

Microsoft's "family friendly initiative" got a boost from THQ yesterday when the company announced it was bringing SpongeBob SquarePants: Underpants Slam! to the Xbox Live Arcade in November.

THQ also announced that they have three original titles in the pipeline for the XBLA. Screwjumper is coming in November alongside SpongeBob with Elements of Destruction and Rocket Riot following sometime after. The company has not released any real information about the games besides their titles.

УWe view Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 as a natural fit for many of our established casual brands, as well as an opportunity to serve up new gaming content,Ф said Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. УWith more than 20 million units of SpongeBob video games shipped worldwide to-date, we're so excited to bring casual gamers SpongeBob SquarePants: Underpants Slam! on the Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360, and we look forward to rolling out more titles with a slate of games that offer a variety of options via the popular Arcade network.Ф

We'll have more soon.
