News: Kojima's masterpiece has hit another production snag.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PS3 was previously scheduled to be released this holiday season. Then it was delayed into early 2008 and everything we've seen painted that as a very solid release date. But today the title was delayed again and this time gamers shouldn't expect to play it until next the second quarter of 2008 (April - June).

Here's the reason Konami has given for the delay:

"Konami had initially intended to release Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots this winter and has been working on the production of the title. Konami has decided to delay the title's release in order to make further improvements to the quality of the game and provide even greater enjoyment for more customers worldwide."

We'll have more soon.
