News: It's just in time to coincide with the North American launch of the 40GB PS3.
Look out for a brand new PlayStation 3 TV advertisement campaign over the coming weeks and months leading up to Christmas, as the Official PlayStation Blog is reporting that Sony has launched it to coincide with the North American release of the 40GB PS3.
СThe games are here, the price point is now $399 and we wanted to make the news loud and clear. But we need to deliver that in a way that befits the PlayStation brand.' said Peter Dille, Senior Vice President, Marketing and PlayStation Network, in the blog post. СBeyond the brilliant HD games that the PS3 delivers, you'll also see a big focus behind the PS3's Blu-ray movie capability and, for the first time, you'll see a major focus behind the PLAYSTATION Network (did I mention online gaming is free on PS3??) and the exclusive gaming content available on the PLAYSTATION Store, as well as breakthrough services like Home.'
The two new advertisements shown in the blog last 60 and 30 seconds in the respective order that they appear. The former is entitled СUniverse of Entertainment' and showcases the PS3's multi-functional capabilities with games, Spiderman 3 on Blu-ray, the PlayStation Home and PlayStation Store. The latter has been dubbed СOnly On' and features recent and hyped first-party titles such as Gran Turismo 5, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Heavenly Sword.
