Brash brings Jumper to PS2, Wii and Xbox 360 @ Gaming Target

News: Sci-Fi flick starring Samuel L. Jackson gets the video game treatment as well.

Brash Entertainment (the publisher behind the upcoming game based on the Saw franchise) has announced they will be publishing a game based on the movie Jumper. Brash plans to bring the game to the PS2, Wii and Xbox 360 this February. The movie is based on a book by Steven Gould and will be directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity).

The game will actually be a side story to the movie as it will center around Griffin, a "Jumper" who can teleport at will to anywhere in the world. Jumpers are opposed by Paladins, people who believe the Jumpers are too dangerous to exist. Griffin will be portrayed in the film by Jamie Bell, a co-star to the movie's main character, David, played by Hayden Christensen.

The PS2 and Wii versions of the game will be developed by Collision Studios, while RedTribe will be working on the Xbox 360 version.

"Jumper is shaping up to be the action adventure film of 2008, and Brash is excited to be there, at the beginning, with a game that further explores the Jumper universe," said Mitch Davis, co-founder and CEO of Brash Entertainment. "We've been working closely with our partners at Twentieth Century Fox to create a game that delves into the world of the Jumpers and the Paladins."

Jumper the game will be released on February 12th while the movie will hit theaters on February 15th.
