News: Bust some ghosts on the PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 and PC.
Almost a year ago, a trailer purported to be from an in-development Ghostbusters was leaked onto YouTube. Zootfly was quickly outed as the comapny responsible for the footage, which they admitted was an unsolicited pitch to various publishers to create a Ghostbusters. Nothing came of the title, but Zootfly later confirmed that another company had taken up the Ghostbusters mantle and that next-gen systems would see a Ghostbusters game in the near future.
The future is now.
Game Informer has revealed their December cover story will be none other than Ghostbusters for the PS2, PS3, PC, Wii and Xbox 360.
GI has given us a little taste of the game by informing us that Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd will all reprise their movie roles in what will essentially be Ghostbusters III. No word yet on Ernie Hudson, but if there's no Winston I'll be very disappointed.
Ramis and Aykroyd will also be writing the script for the game and duties "far beyond" the typical celebrity consultant according to GI.
We'll have more on Ghostbusters soon.
