News: It'll launch alongside the fourth film.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that we will see a new Terminator game to go along with the fourth movie that is currently in pre-production and should be released in 2009. Back in May, Halcyon purchased the rights to the Terminator franchise from C2 and now they've created a game division, Halcyon Games, to begin work on the game adaptation of T4.
The movie, which will be titled Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, will tell the beginning of the Future War between man and the machines. It will feature John Connor and Kate Brewster, although it is unknown if Nick Stahl or Claire Danes will reprise their roles for T4.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new game will be available for "all formats, including next-generation consoles, PC and mobile." Developers from Halcyon Games are also working closely with the pre-production staff to make the game feel as close to the movie as possible.
We'll have more on Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins soon and I pray they bring back Nick Stahl, he was a great John Connor.
