News: Motion Sensing Controllers hitting the 360 by end of next year.

It seems the SIXAXIS and the Wiimote won't be the only motion sensing technology available for gamers by the end of next year.

Gyration - a company already involved with the Wiimote prototype and Microsoft's Media Center controller, have been contracted for the Xbox 360's latest peripheral.

Smart move by Microsoft? I'm not too convinced. The technology is more of a gimmick, rather than an enjoyable interactive experience. The PS3 is still struggling to get SIXAXIS to really work well with games, most of the time this feature feels forced.

Will it work with previous 360 titles or will there be a new generation of 'motion' games available to the 360? I guess we won't know until we hear from Microsoft.
