News: Popular N64 title making a come back

Xbox Evolved tells us that their 'reliable sources' claim GoldenEye, Rareware's behemoth of N64 FPS, is soon to be released on Xbox Live Arcade.

Although there is no set date, we're told to expect the title late this year. We are also getting an overhaul of the graphics, as well as online multiplayer included. I can only imagine how crazy this title will sell if the rumours are true.

However Rare is not going to stop there. Titles also on the list to be added to XBL Arcade are Perfect Dark and the original Banjo-Kazooie. Eventual release of the majority of their back catalogue is in the works too.

Rare (or Microsoft) has not confirmed nor denied this latest "GoldenEye on XBLA" rumour. For such a thing to happen it would require a deal between Rare (the developer), Nintendo (the original publisher), Microsoft (Rare's parent company) and Activision (the current publisher of Bond-based video games). So while we all want it to happen, this is still very much a rumor.
