News: Millions of fanboys suddenly cried out in excitement and were suddenly confused.

When Link, Spawn and Heihachi appeared in Soul Calibur II gamers were excited but confused how these three characters would fit into the Soul Calibur universe. In the end, the chance to play as Link pushed the GameCube version to the bestseller lists.

Now, as the release of Soul Calibur IV nears, gamers get a chance to be confused and excited about bonus characters again. Today, 1UP exclusively announced that Darth Vader and Yoda will appear as bonus characters in Soul Calibur IV.

Before you ask, yes, this is as real as it gets. No tricks, no hoaxes. Darth Vader and Yoda will fighting alongside Nightmare and Voldo in Soul Calibur IV. No other details were revealed on how Darth Vader and Yoda will interact with the other SC characters, but 1UP has the first screenshots and video of the two in action.

Meanwhile, a report on Kotaku has revealed that Darth Vader will appear only in the PS3 version and Yoda will appear only in the Xbox 360 version. Thus ensuring that one console's version of Soul Calibur IV will outsell the other.

We'll have more on Soul Calibur IV (like hopefully more secret characters from the Star Wars universe) soon.
