News: The prequel to Altair's adventures somersaults on the DS next month.
After months of speculation and rumor, Ubisoft has finally announced Assassin's Creed for the DS. The game will be known as Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles and it will be a direct prequel to the game currently tearing up the PS3 and Xbox 360 sales charts.
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles will feature a "fully realized 3D world" as they venture through four Middle Eastern cities during the Crusades. Just like on the consoles, Altair will use "acrobatic moves and exhilarating combo attacks that mix sword skills and high-flying kicks" to dispatch his enemies.
УThe success of Assassin's Creed worldwide has been incredible and we're excited to delve deeper into the story and bring it to the Nintendo DS,Ф said John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director at Ubisoft. УAssassin's Creed Altair's Chronicles will be a title that resonates with those who played the console version as well as those who have yet to discover the secrets of Assassin's Creed.Ф
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles will be released in February and we'll have more soon.
