News: Firaxis & 2K Games bag the Wii edition to focus on 360, DS and PS3 versions.

The recently announced Wii edition of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution has been put on indefinite hold by 2K Games and developer Firaxis.

"Development for the Wii version of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution is currently on hold," a spokesperson for 2K Games told IGN. "We are focusing our attention on creating the best possible Civilization experience for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS platforms."

CivRev will allow gamers to experience the turn-based franchise specifically designed for consoles and handhelds. The title will feature sixteen civilizations to lead with thousands of historical leaders at their disposal. Gameplay will also feature more streamlined play for quicker, more intense combat.

Surely, you will only need...one...more...turn.
