News: Blizzard Worldwide Invitational converging on Paris in late June.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the fourth annual Blizzard Worldwide Invitational will take place in Paris, France over the two-day period of June 28-29. Last year, the BWI made headlines with the first official announcement of Starcraft II, although it is unlikely that this year will have another headlining announcement. Instead Blizzard has enticed gamers with a list of activities that are already scheduled including, but not limited to:
Hands-on play with World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and StarCraft II
Discussion panels with Blizzard Entertainment developers
Artist and developer signings
Professional eSport tournaments and casual tournaments for attendees
Merchandise and other products based on the Blizzard Entertainment game universes
Silent auction
Musical performances
The public-accessible convention will cost 70А/г55 per ticket and be held in Hall 5 of the Porte de Versailles Exposition Center in Paris. Ticket sales will be limited and are set to begin within the next few weeks.
Also of note is confirmation that Wrath of the Lich King and Starcraft II will not be out before July since attendees will only be receiving hands-on playtime. It is not a surprising bit of information but depressing nonetheless.
