Microsoft has announced the winners of the inaugural Xbox Live Arcade Awards honoring the best games on the service. The first six awards were awarded based on a popular of over 26,000 Xbox Live users. The last four awards were based on Live usage and sales data and MetaCritic scores.

Best Classic Game: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Konami)
Best Original Game: Pac-Man: Championship Edition (Namco Bandai)
Best Family-Friendly Game: Pac-Man: Championship Edition (Namco Bandai)
Best Competitive Multiplayer Game: Bomberman Live (Hudson)
Best Cooperative Multiplayer Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Ubisoft)
Best-Selling Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Ubisoft)
Most-Played Game: Worms (Team17 Software)
