Capcom has announced that they have shipped one million copies of Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii. This marks the second Resident Evil game to reach that milestone, after Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, on the system.
With this milestone, Capcom has become only the second third-party developer to ship more than a million copies of two titles. They join Ubisoft, which has hit the million mark with Rayman Raving Rabbids and Red Steel.
This also pushes sales of the Resident Evil series to more than 34.5 million copies. This total comes from more than 25 titles across ten platforms.
