News: Racing sim will come to PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 this June.

EA has announced that Jeff Gordon will be the cover athlete of this NASCAR racing title, NASCAR 09. As in previous years, the game will be developed by EA's Tiburon team. It is currently scheduled to be released June 10th on the PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360.

УIt's exciting being on the cover of NASCAR 09,Ф says Gordon. УThe game is as real as it gets and it's been great being involved with it on this level. I look forward to helping gamers in NASCAR 09.Ф

NASCAR 09 will add a new car handling mechanic and a new career mode dubbed "Sprint for the Cup." This mode will include advice and mentoring from Gordon as aspiring racers attempt to capture the Sprint Cup.

While I'm utterly baffled that EA did not announce a Wii version, we'll have more on NASCAR 09 soon.
