Fallout 3 Collector's Edition confirmed and detailed @ Gaming Target

News: Gaming Target brings you the first details on the goodies included in Bethesda first Fallout title.

An official source deep inside the vault that is Bethesda Softworks has confirmed what many have expected, a Collector's Edition for their upcoming RPG title, Fallout 3. Players can purchase the Collector's Edition for all three platforms, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, sometime during Fall 2008.

Fallout 3 will be the first property to come from Bethesda, who purchased the intellectual property rights to the franchise from ailing Interplay almost exactly a year ago. In a reversal of roles, Interplay is now licensing the IP from Bethesda as they try to secure funding for a Fallout MMOG.

As mentioned, a Collector's Edition for such a highly-anticipated title is no surprise, but we have the goods on what the CE will contain as well:

* Vault Boy Bobblehead
* The Art of Fallout 3 Ц a hardcover book featuring nearly 100 pages of concept art and commentary from Bethesda artists
* The Making of Fallout 3 Ц a DVD containing an inside look at Bethesda Game Studios and the team behind the game
* Vault-Tec Lunch Box Ц the entire Collector's Edition will be housed in a fully customizable metal lunch box

We have also heard unconfirmed claims that the title will be launching across all platforms on October 7th, 2008. Expect an official press release from Bethesda in the near future.
