News: CD Projekt RED delays the enhanced re-release to add more polish.
For those of you waiting for The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, you will have to wait a little bit more. It seems that developer CD Projekt RED still isn't content to release the re-tooled RPG because they want to make it Уas close to a flawless product as possible.Ф
The team announced back in February that the revamped title was scheduled for a May release with an ambitious amount of updates and fixes being added to an already well received title. CD Projekt RED has re-written over 5000 lines of the script and re-recorded dialog for both English and German.
Along with the script changes and better dialog comes a much needed reduction in loading times, reportedly a drop of 80%. The upgraded re-release will also contain a horde of extras beyond fixes including the D'jinni Adventure Editor, two official adventures, the official soundtrack, an album of music inspired by The Witcher, a game guide, a map of The Witcher's world and more.
Better still, anyone who purchased the original release of The Witcher can partake in the changes via a free patch. The new release date of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition will be coming in the next few days.
A company who supports their product and consumers? Priceless.
