News: Time to get bloody again with the original horror game.

Electronic Gaming Monthly has revealed the cover of their June 2008 issue to the world and it should make retro gamers squeal with delight. The cover screams "35 Retro Revivals" and leading the pack is a new, Namco-Bandai developed version of Splatterhouse. The magazine also promises the first details on the next Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff.

Among the 33 other games that are getting the retro revival treatment in EGM's feature are:

  • Bionic Commando
  • Street Fighter IV
  • Golden Axe: Beast Rider
  • Sonic Unleashed
  • Alone in the Dark
  • Alien Crush
  • Space Invaders Extreme
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix

For those keeping score at home, that means 23 unnamed games will appear in this feature. It will likely be stuff that's already been announced, but EGM is usually good for a surprise or two in a feature like this. The June 2008 issue of EGM will be delivered to subscriber's starting on Thursday and should appear on newsstands by May 6.
