News: Sure you knew, but now it is official.
Despite countless retailers claiming that indeed there was a GTA IV PS3 bundle, it is never official until the parents say so. Today, Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe has officially announced the existence of the GTA IV bundle and that it will go on sale April 29th. In case you missed the first announcements, the bundle will include GTA IV, a 40GB PS3, and a SIXAXIS controller all to the tune of 439 Euros.
Not a bad way for Sony to clear some back stock eh? Unfortunately and questionably, there has been no announcement made for a North American bundle. While we understand that PAL territories are Sony's most important targets, it certainly would improve sales here to have a similar bundle, even packed with the obsolete SIXAXIS.
UPDATE: Looks like the news is official for Australia as well. Two things to note Aussies - AUD$749.95 (USD$715)price tag and the fact that the bundle will not be released until May 1. Will two days affect your decision?
