News: Are you best kart racer in the world? Prove it!
Nintendo has announced they will begin offering Worldwide Tounaments for Mario Kart Wii players. Tournaments will be accesible from the Mario Kart Channel and players can attempt a tournament challenge as many times as they want while the tournament is active in the Mario Kart Channel. Nintendo has said new tournaments will be posted every few weeks.
The first tournament begins today and it asks players to complete the Mario Circuit track in the fastest time possible.
So what other kinds of tournaments can we expect to see? Here's what Nintendo has to say:
Tournaments might take the form of a challenge for players to race a certain course as fast as they can with specific characters, or to collect a number of coins on a course using the Wii Wheel accessory or another control setup. They can feature unique rules or obstacles on the course.
