News: And a secret code to decipher.

The June 2008 issue of Nintendo Power is packed with a ton of new game announcements and information on previously announced games. They've even included a hidden message in a picture of the moon on the "Next Issue" page (more on that in a minute). So without further delay, here we go.

First up is a sequel to My Sims dubbed My Sims Kingdom. The game will have a medieval slant and Nintendo Power promises "most interaction between characters" and "a lot more things to do." The game will be available for the DS and Wii and it will be released this Fall.

Next up is Drawn To Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition for the DS. The game will also be released this Fall and is a SpongeBob-themed sequel to last year's "draw your own platform" game Drawn To Life.

There's also plenty on the two upcoming Guitar Hero games, Guitar Hero: On Tour (DS) and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (Wii). First, comes the news that Guitar Hero: Aerosmith will actually be made up of 60% Aerosmith and 40% of bands that either influenced Aerosmith or were influenced by Aerosmith. And then there's a huge list of confirmed songs for both games. These are not full setlists, but just a taste of what to expect:

Guitar Hero: On Tour
  • OK Go - "Do What You Want"
  • Blink 182 - "All the Small Things"
  • No Doubt - "Spiderwebs"
  • Jet - "Are You Gonna Be My Girl"
  • Twisted Sister - "We're Not Gonna Take It"
  • Smash Mouth - "All Star"
  • Nirvana - "Breed"
  • Rick Springfield - "Jessie's Girl"
  • Pat Benatar - "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"
  • Maroon 5 - "This Love"
  • Los Lonely Boys - "Heaven"
  • Bloc Party - "Helicopter"
  • The Doobie Brothers - "China Grove"
  • KISS - "Rock and Roll All Nite" (cover)
  • Daughtry - "What I Want"

    Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
  • Mott the Hopple - "All the Young Dudes"
  • Cheap Trick - "Dream Police"
  • Joan Jett - "I Hate Myself For Loving You"
  • The Kinks - "All Day and All of the Night"
  • The Clash - "Compelte Control"
  • New York Dolls - "Personality Crisis"
  • Lenny Kravitz - "Always on the Run"
  • The Black Crowes - "Hard To Handle
  • Aerosmith - "Make It"
  • Aerosmith - "Uncle Salty"
  • Aerosmith - "Draw the Line"
  • Aerosmith - "Movin' Out"
  • Aerosmith - "No Surprize"
  • Aerosmith - "Sweet Emotion"
  • Aerosmith - "Livin' on the Edge"
  • Aerosmith - "Rag Doll"
  • Aerosmith - "Love in an Elevator"
  • Aerosmith - "Back in the Saddle"
  • Aerosmith - "Beyond Beautiful"
  • Aerosmith - "Dream On"

Finally, the issue closes with a puzzle for what's coming next month. It's a picture of the moon with clues "hidden in the picture." While it's possible the moon is just an obvious allusion to the DS game Moon, the clues appear to be letters and symbols hidden throughout the picture. They can likely be deciphered to mean something.

    So far I've found a capital "L", a capital "F", a capital "A", a capital "I", a capital "D", a lowercase "d", a "c", a backwards "3" (could be an "E" I guess), several "o"'s (they could be craters), a smiley face and three question marks.

As for an answer, I got nothing.
