News: Ed Boon tells all.

A new interview with Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon at GameSpot should put to rest some of the fears of Mortal Kombat fans over over Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

In the interview, Boon confirms that there will be blood in MK vs. DC as well as Fatalities... sort of. "Fatalities", as in the spine-ripping, decapitating, showers of blood that Mortal Kombat is famous for, will only be able to be performed by MK characters and DC villains. Superheroes such as Batman and Superman will only be able to perform "Brutalities", where they beat up their opponent in a manner similar to a Fatality, but without killing him.

Despite this, the game will still sport a Teen rating when all is said and done, although Boon pointed out that "[c]ertain animations, blood effects, and sound effects that we have in the game are really pushing the T-rating envelope."

We'll have more soon.
