Activision's plan for 2008 and 2009 @ Gaming Target

News: What the new Activision Blizzard has planned from the Activision side.

Activision decided to skip this year's E3 festivities and instead are having their own fun. They've announced some new details on the rest of the games they'll be releasing in 2008 along with a tease of new information about games that will be coming in 2009.

First of all, Activision has announced that the new Metallica album "Death Magnetic" will be available as downloadable content for Guitar Hero III on the same day the album is released in stores. It will also be released for Guitar Hero: World Tour when that game comes out later in the fall.

The company also confirmed a number of games they're planning for 2009:

Wolfenstein is the next game in the Wolfenstein series and it will appear on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. More details are below.

A sequel to Marvel Ultimate Alliance is coming titled Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion. It will be developed by Vicarious Visions.

Singularity will be an original first person shooter, which will be developed by Raven.

The next Transformers movie will also get a game and Luxoflux will be developing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Finally, a game based on the Wolverine movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine is also in development at Raven.
