News: But the megapublisher leaves Ghostbusters out in the cold... for now.

With the Activision/Blizzard merger nice and official, Activision has set to work deciding which games from Sierra (Blizzard's parent company) they will continue to publish. So far, the company has announced that six titles will come out under the Activision Blizzard banner when they're ready for release:

  • Crash of the Titans (DS, PS2, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360)
  • Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (platforms unknown)
  • The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon (DS, PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)
  • The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (DS, PS2, Wii)
  • Prototype (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
  • An Unannounced Title

This still leaves at least half a dozen Sierra titles still unaccounted for:

  • 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand
  • Brutal Legend
  • Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
  • Ghostbusters
  • Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust
  • Wet
  • World in Conflict: Soviet Assault

It should also be noted that this means these titles are not officially canceled and that Activision Blizzard could decide to publish them as well. Furthermore, web pages for 50 Cent, Ghostbusters and World in Conflict have all been added to Activision's website, meaning those three games have a very good chance of being picked up by Activision Blizzard.

In other Activision Blizzard news, they also have plans to realign their internal studios Radical Entertainment and High Moon Studios. Activision is "exploring [their] options" for two other internal studios, Massive Entertainment and Swordfish Studios, including "the sale or closing of the outfits."
