Entertainment Weekly has the excluisve details on six full albums that will be added to the Rock Band Store (for Rock Band 2) in the next few months.
According to the article, albums from the Foo Fighters (The Colour and the Shape), Jane's Addiction (Nothing's Shocking), Megadeth (Peace Sells... But Who's Buying), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Blood Sugar Sex Magik) and Stevie Ray Vaughn (Texas Flood) are in the pipeline. A No Doubt "Best Of" collection specially compiled by Harmonix (and different from the group's The Singles 1992Ц2003 collection)is also being readied for a Fall release.
While the EW article states these albums are in development for Rock Band 2, owners of the original Rock Band should also be able to download them as Harmonix has previously said that all downloaded tracks would work across both games.
