News: Fear me? No, FEAR 2.

Warner Brothers and Monolith have announced that they have reacquired the rights to the FEAR name.

Before completing the original FEAR for Sierra, developer Monolith was purchased by Warner Brothers. So afterwards Sierra kept the FEAR name, but Monolith kept the storyline rights and began work on a sequel dubbed Project Origin. With Sierra now a part of the behemoth known as Activision Blizzard, Warner Brothers and Monolith have repurchase the rights to the FEAR name and have rechristened Project Origin as FEAR 2: Project Origin.

They also announced that development on the game is coming along nicely and that it will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 10, 2009.
