Budget publisher XS Games has announced they will be bringing PopStar Guitar to the PlayStation 2 and Wii this November.
PopStar Guitar will, as you may have guessed, be similar in structure to Guitar Hero. In fact, the PS2 version will work with any previously released "five button guitar controller." On the other hand, the Wii version will be packaged with the AirG, a peripheral that snaps onto the Wii Remote that "transforms [it] into an air guitar."
The pop nature of the game's more than fifty songs will attempt to set PopStar Guitar apart from Guitar Hero and Rock Band. XS has also revealed five songs for the game already and confirmed they will all be the original master tracks:
Rihanna - "Shut Up and Drive"
The Jonas Brothers - "SOS"
Miley Cyrus - "See You Again"
Maroon 5 - "Wake Up Call"
Maroon 5 - "Makes Me Wonder"
PopStar Guitar will also feature "twelve playable characters, 25 visually stunning venues, customizable bands, a Career Mode and single player and multi-player mini-games." It has been rated T For Teen.
