News: Due to the presence of expressions from the Koran.
Sony's side-scrolling platformer/level creation doodad for the PlayStation 3, LittleBigPlanet, has been delayed due to problems with one of the game's music tracks. The game was originally scheduled for release on October 21 and many stores had already received their shipments of the game. Those shipments will now be recalled (and likely destroyed).
The problem stems from two expressions that can be found in the Koran in the background music in the level "Swinging Safari". According to True-Gaming.net (a gaming site in Arabic), the problem lyrics are:
1- In the 18th second: "kollo nafsin tha'iqatol mawt", literally: 'Every soul shall have the taste of death'.
2- Almost immediately after, in the 27th second: "kollo man alaiha fan", literally: 'All that is on earth will perish'.
Sony has announced that LittleBigPlanet will be released during the week of October 21.
