News: And hints at Army of Two 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Variety recently spoke to EA Games label president Frank Gibeau and Dead Space executive producer Glenn Schofield and came away with a few nifty tidbits of information.
First, Gibeau mentioned that the company has sequels to
Battlefield: Bad Company and
Army of Two (oh please, oh please let it be called Army of Two 2) in the planning stages:
Gibeau: Bad Company has come out and done very well. Army of Two sold very well. We've got sequel ideas planned for those. I feel pretty good about that mix right now.
Next, Schofield talked about Dead Space and confirmed that
Dead Space 2 is in development and that Electronic Arts is looking into spinning off the series into novels and a feature film (that ideally would be a bridge story between the two games).
No other details were revealed, but it looks like EA is very serious about this whole "New EA" idea they have going.
