News: High Voltage has finally found a suitable partner.
High Voltage Software has announced they've reached an agreement with a publisher for their Wii first person shooter The Conduit. And that publisher is none other than the house that Sonic built, Sega. The Conduit is likely the most anticipated game on the horizon for the Wii and it's all because the game is one of the most high profile "core" titles for the Wii.
In case The Conduit is new to you, here's a little background on the story:
The Conduit takes players into a dark story in Washington D.C. after a vicious alien invasion has rocked the country. An organization called the Trust has sent in Secret Service agent, Mr. Ford, to go up against the insect-like alien race known as УThe Drudge.Ф Armed with an array of futuristic weaponry and an intelligence-gathering device simply called the УAll-Seeing Eye,Ф players follow an intricate storyline filled with conspiracy, shady government activity and terrifying aliens.
The Conduit's detailed control system allows players to customize and configure look sensitivity, turning speed, the dead zone and much more. As players delve further into the mystery behind the extraterrestrial invasion, shocking details reveal that the invasion may have been brought on with help from the government itself.
Sega did not pin down an exact release date for The Conduit, but they did mention a vague Spring 2009 release. That's pretty close to High Voltage's previous vague promises of a January or February release. But The Conduit is coming, and now, it has a publisher.
We'll have more soon.
