News: That's right, 12!
Ignition Entertainment has announced that they will be bringing The King of Fighters XII (yes, 12!) to home consoles in 2009.
The arcade mainstay has revamped the graphical look of the series for the first time ever, ditching the old low resolution character sprites for new 2D high definition, high resolution ones. As always, all of the character art will be hand drawn, as will the new 2D backgrounds.
A specific release date and which specific platforms King of Fighters XII will come to will be announced at a later date. But due to the huge focus on brand new HD graphics, the Wii will likely be left out in the cold.
