News: I'm not sure I'd call a game breaking glitch "treasure."
If you were planning to buy Tomb Raider: Underworld for the Wii, you might want to rethink that idea. It seems there is a serious game breaking glitch in the title that prohibits players from advancing beyond the Coastal Thailand level.
The problem has been noted in several threads on Eidos' official forums. Here is how Eidos describes the glitch in the Coastal Thailand level like this:
After the MAP ROOM where [the player spins] a large structure using Thor's Gauntlet for the first time, a lever is sometimes not appearing (Lara would normally jump onto the lever and use her bodyweight to make it move downwards).
Eidos has posted a workaround in their forum, which involves downloading a game save to an SD Card that skips the section of the game with the glitch:
To rectify this, players should either:
1 - Revert back to a previous save and playthrough again.
2 - If the user already has an SD card they can use the attached saves and instructions below (note Ц they will lose all treasures they have collected if they use these).

1. Unzip У20081124 TRU Wii NTSC save.rarФ
2. Place the contents of the unzipped folder onto an SD card.
3. Ensure the Wii is off and insert the SD Card into the Wii.
4. Boot up the Wii without the disc in.
5. Go to the Wii Options -> Select Save Data -> Select Wii -> Select SD Card.
6. Select the TR:Underworld file and then select the option copy to Wii memory
7. After save is copied remove SD card and reboot the Wii.
8. Start the game and Load the Save.
Eidos has yet to announce any plans to release an updated version of the game without the glitch and Nintendo does not allow downloadable software patches for Wii games, so this may be the only resolution this glitch receives.
