News: Two games that couldn't be more different get release dates.
Electronic Arts has announced that Skate 2, the sequel to their popular entry in the extreme sports scene, will be available on January 21. Once again developed by EA Black Box, Skate 2 will be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
In the next few weeks, EA will open Skate 2 Graphics Creator, an online application that will players to create custom graphics for their in-game hats, decks and shirts for use in Skate 2. EA has also said that players who pre-order the game will receive a download code for bonus content known as the Throwback Pack. The Throwback Pack features "a variety of retro stylings including tie-dye t-shirts, Skate or Die apparel, Robot and Window Shade sunglasses, gestures circa the hippie-age and much more!"
Atlus has also announced that Ys: Books I & II, a remake of the well regarded TurboGrafx-16 RPGs, will be released for the DS on February 3. The remake will include touch screen support, a four-player multiplayer option and a new English translation.
