News: Grand Theft Auto IV leads the pack.

Time Magazine has posted their look back at the top ten video games of 2008 and they have named Grand Theft Auto IV as the best game of the year. The rest of the list includes a nice variety of games (including a Flash game and a iPhone game):

1. Grand Theft Auto IV (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
2. Braid (Xbox 360 - Xbox Live Arcade)
3. LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
4. Rock Band 2 (PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii)
5. Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360)
6. Dead Space (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
7. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (DS, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360)
8. Hunted Forever (Flash Game)
9. Fieldrunners (iPhone/iTouch)
10. Spore (PC)

I'm thrilled to see the underrated Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the list, but I have to ask, where's Mario Kart Wii or the more Time Magazine-friendly Wii Fit? Hardcore PlayStation 3 fans will also probably question the exclusion of Metal Gear Solid 4. Ten games just isn't enough.
