News: Dragon Age for the Fall and Godfather II for the Spring.
After announcing the delay of The Sims 3, Electronic Arts also confirmed in their quarterly conference call for investors that they plan to delay two more games: The Godfather II and Dragon Age: Origins.
The Godfather II was originally scheduled for release at the end of this month, but now the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game will be released sometime between April 1 and June 30. EA did not give a reason for the delay, but they did say the new release date will give the game "a better launch window."
The company has also delayed Dragon Age: Origins, BioWare's spiritual successor to
Baldur's Gate. Originally scheduled for a Summer release, the game will now be released in the Fall to coincide with the release of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. However, BioWare will not be sitting on their hands during this delay as they plan to polish the PC version right up until the new release date.
We'll have more soon.
