News: Are you ready to play in the DiRT with an Overlord?

Codemasters held their 2009 Gamer's Day event last night in San Francisco and announced release dates for a whole passel of games.

First up is a trio of new games in the Overlord series, all releasing in June:

  • Overlord: Dark Legend, a prequel to the original Overlord will be released exclusively on the Wii.
  • A sequel, Overlord II, will be released on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
  • Finally, a puzzle action game, Overlord Minions, will be released on the DS.

Those three games will be joined in June by Jumpgate Evolution, a massively multiplayer online game for the PC developed by NetDevil. And that will be followed up "in the Summer" by Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, a squad-based shooter for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Finally, Codemasters revealed that the off-road racing sequel DiRT 2 will be coming to the DS, PC, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 in September.

    We'll have more soon.
