News: Enhanced 1:1 swing technology to be used in these summer-bound games.
With "near-perfect" 1:1 swing functionality thanks the upcoming Wii MotionPlus accessory, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis are two sports games you may want to buy for the Wii this summer.
Electronic Arts officially announced that both Wii versions of the games are getting souped up with enhanced accuracy when using the add-on.
"On the Wii, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis bring the authentic motion and excitement of championship golf and tennis to life for fans of all ages and skill levels," said Peter Moore, President, EA Sports. "With the new Wii MotionPlus, slicing a winner on Centre Court at Wimbledon or dropping an 8 iron pin high on No. 17 at TPC Sawgrass have never felt better. We couldn't be more excited about the dynamic new EA Sports experiences coming this year to the Wii."
So, while the graphics of a game like Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will certainly be better on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, having full control of the ball Уfrom the tee box to the greenФ should make the game more fun and the motion control gameplay less frustrating than normal on Wii.
EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis is currently a Wii-only title, so there's no choice between system versions. However, today's press release does state that the game is "available first for the Wii," meaning it'll likely come to other platforms if there's potential.
