News: The souped up sluggers of The Bigs are back on the PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360.
When The Bigs was first announced, Major League Baseball was in the middle of the Mitchell investigation into steroid use in the sport. So naturally, a game about souped up players smashing dingers into the atmosphere became the subject of plenty of jokes. Now, 2K Games has announced The Bigs 2... just a few weeks after baseball's biggest star, Alex Rodriguez, was linked to steroids. Sometimes the jokes write themselves.
Like it's predecessor, The Bigs 2 will be developed by Blue Castle Games and will be released on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360. It will be in stores this Summer and offer more of the over-the-top baseball moments that the original did.
