News: While the company didn't go into detail, it's good to know the Wii will be infested with zombies again very soon.

Joystiq's Xav de Matos recently spoke with Capcom's Associate Product Marketing Manager, Matt Dahlgren, at a Capcom event in Toronto and the subject of Resident Evil 5 on the Wii came up.

Dahlgren replied by saying that Resident Evil 5 was developed from the ground up for the PS3 and Xbox 360 but followed that up with...

"That being said, Nintendo Wii fans will be very happy very soon."

Dahlgren didn't elaborate on why Resident Evil fans would be very happy very soon, but when pressed on the question how soon is soon, he just repeated "very soon."

A Wii remake of Resident Evil Zero was released in Japan last year, but Capcom had said the game wouldn't be coming to America. Could that make Wii owners "very happy"? It's hard to say, but hopefully we'll find out more soon.
