News: James Brown gets funky while harmonix adds new Papa Roach and Against Me! DLC as well.
Harmonix has announced they will be bringing the funk to this week's Rock Band Store update. A three song Get the Funk Out Pack will headline a week where eight songs will be added to the store.
As with most of Rock Band's song packs, the Get the Funk Out Pack will be available to download for $5.49 on the PlayStation 3 or 440 440 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360. All three songs will also be available individually for $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) each. The pack will include the following funky songs:
Average White Band - "Pick Up the Pieces"
Earth Wind & Fire - "Shining Star"
James Brown - "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine - Pt 1"
Harmonix will also be releasing five other individual tracks this week including two from The New Pornographers (the band's lead singer, Neko Case, was part of the Alt Country Pack in February), two more from Papa Roach and one song from Against Me! Like most other individual songs, they will also be available to download for $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) each.
And those songs are:
Against Me! - "Thrash Unreal"
The New Pornographers - "All the Things That Go to Make Heaven and Earth"
The New Pornographers - "Use It"
Papa Roach - "Last Resort"
Papa Roach - "Lifeline"
All of the tracks will be available to download on the Xbox Live Marketplace on Tuesday, March 17 and on the PlayStation Store on Thursday, March 19.
