News: The biggest launch in RE history.

Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil 5 launched with an initial shipment of four million copies worldwide, making it the biggest launch of any Resident Evil game. With the title's good reviews and good word-of-mouth from gamers, those four million shipped copies will likely turn into four million copies sold very soon. That is, if they haven't already.

According to Capcom, the series as a whole (15 games spread across 14 platforms) has sold 40 million copies.

We'll have more on Resident Evil 5 soon.
